Simone Cenci - MIT   Simone is a PhD student at MIT working on population dynamics within the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Simone obtained his undergraduate degree in Physics and Astrophysics at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' and a Masters degree in Physics at the University of Pisa. In his free time Simone likes sailing, reading and traveling to warmer places!

  Marco Piccardo - Harvard   Marco is a postdoctoral research fellow in the group of Federico Capasso at Harvard University reinventing quantum cascade lasers as wireless high-speed communication devices.  Marco obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from Ecole Polytechnique. He obtained his BSc. in Physics from Università degli Studi di Torino, and a MSc. in Physics from Ecole Normale Superieure and Ecole Polytechnique. He is the recipient of the Young Physicist Award "G. F. Bassani" (2016) of the Italian Physical Society, and laureate of the PhD Award "Innovative Materials and Applications" of the Université Paris-Saclay.

I did my undergraduate work at Cornell University and spent three years as a laboratory technician at The Rockefeller University before coming to MIT.
